Upon stepping into the shop, the monster shopkeeper will try to attack the player instead of selling the items. Occationally, by 1% chance per each floor, the color of the shop wall is darker and a monster shopkeeper resides in the shop. If the shop is locked, there is a room with 1 or 3 Bombs somewhere on the floor. ![]() The chance of locked shop is 25% for each floor until generated starting from Zone 1-2, and never spawns again. The item pool is entirely different from the normal shop's item pool. Those shops are called locked shops, and sells a rarer items instead. Occationally, the door of the shop is replaced by a cracked shop wall. ![]() The player can visit shops normally in this case. Dropping the shopkeeper to any trapdoor, or leaving the floor while shopkeeper is alive will not make him angry. Killing the shopkeeper will make all future shops empty. If the shopkeeper gets out of the shop by any means, the shop items become free. The shopkeeper will drop a Crown of Greed upon death.Īttacking the shopkeeper via any non-player damage will make it flee from the player. Killing the shopkeeper will also spawn a shopkeeper ghost on (usually) 4 floors later on. Equipping Ring of Shadows allows the player to steal from the shop, even multiple items for Monk, Coda, or Dove.Īttacking the shopkeeper via any player damage will make it hostile and pursue the player. For Monk, Coda, or Dove, the shopkeeper allows to take one and only one item of player's choice. For weapon-locked characters, the shopkeeper will sell only two random items.
